2024 OCIYAC New York International Illustration Exhibition & Art Fair officially opened in Manhattan, New York on March 10th, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
The exhibition is reported to have received a warm welcome from local art enthusiasts in New York, with a crowd of spectators flooding into the exhibition area on the opening day. The main attendees included professors from major art schools, experts from the OCIYAC organizing committee, and collectors from New York. Together, they watched the artworks amidst the enchanting melodies performed by Baroque musicians such as António Ming, Matt Lambeis, and Max Zegna. Art enthusiasts from different countries such as China, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand gathered in New York, transcending cultural differences and language barriers to engage in communication.
David, the director of the New York Contemporary Art Center, mentioned during an interview, "New York, with its diverse cultural atmosphere and rich artistic resources, is favored by artists worldwide. It is also a cultural and artistic sanctuary. This exhibition is the most popular offline exhibition in the history of OCIYAC. On the opening day alone, more than 600 people visited the Art Fair, and it is expected to receive more than 6,000 visitors throughout the exhibition period. We aim to serve the local residents of New York through this exhibition and bring them an artistic feast."
Distinguished guests such as Dr. John Francis Larner, Chairman of the OCIYAC Organizing Committee, French artist and photographer Dylan Rimpault, committee experts Angeline van Doveren-kersten, Davide Marin, Johannes Brahms, Marko Milatovic, and Donghae Ziping, as well as Victoria Thorson, an art professor from Washington, were invited to attend. The 2024 OCIYAC New York International Illustration Exhibition (Art Expo) brought together outstanding art organizations such as Xiaowei Chen Art Studio, HE Art Studio, Cecelia, and 1919 from the United States; AY Arts and Master Plus Education from Australia; Yvonne Ho Art Studio from Canada; Tree Art from Singapore; Fusion Studio, Miss Wang Art Ideation, Art Yu Studio, and Small Nose Creative from China, as well as professional artists from various countries, collectively bringing a diverse array of artworks and creative inspirations to the exhibition.
OCIYAC is a diverse international platform for art exchange, co-hosted by the New York Contemporary Art Center, the Asian American Artists Association, the Kyoto Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy, the Youth Art Center of the Hwa Rang Association of America, the St. Petersburg Art Center in Russia, the Japan-China Literature and Art Association, Nankaze Ink Painting in Japan, Tokyo Drunk Ink Club in Japan, the International Exchange Hall in Japan, the Hiroshima International Shogaku Exchange Association in Japan, and the Tokyo Ink Painting Orchid Society International. OCIYAC upholds the advocacy of creativity, respect for art, and support for artists worldwide, continually providing a stage for international artistic creation.
